One curfew is in place in mainland France as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. This curfew wants to prevent the movement of people in the evening and at night to limit the spread of the virus. However, in the event of force majeure, it is possible to travel outside your home, provided that you have one of the reasons allowed by the authorities, and that you carry a certificate of derogatory travel accompanied by the necessary documents. Here is in this article how to complete and download this certificate on iPhone, in addition to some information on the curfew to understand the issues.

How does it work?
The curfew is therefore in place every day of the week throughout mainland France. A travel certificate is therefore mandatory for travel from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
And until when?
From May 19, the curfew will be pushed back to 9 p.m. Then, if everything goes smoothly, it will be lifted completely on June 30.
What are the reasons for moving despite confinement?
Between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., if you have to travel for work, for a medical reason, for a family reason, for a question of disability, for a judicial or administrative summons, for certain cases of missions of general interest, for certain cases transits, or for the needs of pets, you must complete the travel certificate provided by the government in addition to justifying the reason as the case may be (certificate from the employer for a professional reason, for example).
How to download the travel certificate?
The travel certificate can be found at this address. It is available in different formats, PDF, DOC, TEXT, but also in English and in “Easy to read and understand” or FALC language, for people with intellectual disabilities. Note that the certificates can also be written by hand on plain paper.

The most practical: via the TousAntiCovid application
As for containment, the official government application TousAntiCovid (available there on the App Store) makes it possible to generate and save a travel certificate. The complete procedure for generating a certificate from the app was detailed during the last confinement here.
Overall, the handling is very simple. Simply go to the application to choose the title “Your travel certificates (curfew)” in the “Certificate” section, before filling in your information and the reason.

A digital version of a certificate can be completed and downloaded from the iPhone. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Safari and go to this address
- Fill in all fields
- Choose the pattern
- Click on “Generate my certificate”

Thus, you will find the certificate in the Files app. It will have to be shown to the police in the event of a check, accompanied, depending on the reason, by the documents justifying the trip.
What are the risks for an unjustified exit?
Here are the penalties you incur if you do not respect the curfew or if you travel during curfew and have forgotten your exit justification documents:
- First penalty : a fine of 135 euros, increased to 375 euros (in the event of non-payment or non-dispute within the time limit indicated on the notice of contravention)
- In case of recurrence within 15 days : a fine of 200 euros, increased to 450 euros (in the event of non-payment or non-dispute within the time limit indicated on the notice of contravention)
- Beyond 3 offenses within 30 days : a fine of 3750 euros punishable by 6 months imprisonment
