We know the winner of the iPhone Photography Awards

The iPhone Photography Awards delivered their verdict on Wednesday. The demanding competition brings together millions of professionals and amateurs every year. The rules are simple, take the best photo possible with an iPhone or iPad, editing is only possible with the applications available on the App Store. Image processing software such as Photoshop is therefore prohibited. In 2020, British photographer Dimpy Bhalotia won the competition with her “Flying Boys” photo. Specialist in black and white photography, she took this shot with her iPhone X in Banaras, India.

Among the winners of the competition, one photo stands out from the rest. It is that of the Peruvian Omar Lucas. He won first prize in the “People” category with this photo, but the most amazing thing is surely that this photo was taken with an iPhone 4. A dinosaur of technology. If when it was released in 2010 it was presented as the benchmark in terms of photography, it had largely been overtaken in a decade. But Omar Lucas knew how to draw all the capabilities and win the first prize in the category.
